Current New York Spots museums:
None of these are related to basketball unfortunately. New York seems to have a much larger relation to Baseball than Basketball.
However I thought that the Sports Museum of America sounded promising, so researched into this. This was cut short by the fact that this museum was shut down in 2009 due to low attendance.
I realised looking in New York wasn't going to work, so looked back at my previous research to see if there are any places which are important.
Basketball was created in Springfield, MA, so I decided to look into the museums around there and see if there were any related basketball.
I found that here there was the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame museum - named after the creator of basketball James Naismith.
This is essentially the national museum for basketball in America, and I feel that this is the perfect place to hold the exhibition for my chosen subject matter.
I researched further into the building to see if there were any specific spaces where to host the exhibition.

Places I could hold the exhibition:
Centre Court
The most unique room, located in the heart of the Museum, captures the excitement and grandeur of this magnificent building. This grand ballroom with its large domed ceiling and balcony view is the ideal location for a black-tie event or a casual get-together. Center Court has been home to countless awards ceremonies, weddings, bar & bat mitzvahs, corporate meetings, team building outings, plus recreational events and tournaments including, basketball, billiards, volleyball, cheer and dance performances.
Special Exhibit Gallery
Located on the second floor inside the Museum, this flexible and elegant gallery space is also perfect for receptions, presentations, ceremonies and business lectures. The Gallery is also equipped with full audio and visual capabilities and features a one of a kind decor item, which is the actual basketball court flooring from the Delta Center where Michael Jordan took the last minute game winning shot to defeat the Utah Jazz on his way to securing the Chicago Bulls 6th championship in 1998.
