OUGD505 - Studio Brief 3: Movie Poster Research

When given the restrictions for this brief I decided that I wanted to make a very simple but striking poster for my film.

I looked into posters created in this kind of design.

I particularly like the work of Olly Moss because of his general approach to every poster. A lot of these minimalist posters are very bright and bold as the design is simple.

The posters at the top are the ones that I like the most as they are very simple in layout but have a bit more detail in the objects being used. I think this is the direction I want to go in. I also like the use of a slightly grainy texture on the last couple of posters. It stops the posters looking so flat.
